The Real Estate Blog

Did you know that the first time homebuyer's tax credit of up to $8000 is STILL AVAILABLE for veterans? Of course, there are conditions... The bill has been extended for the families of service members who have recently been deployed.

The conditions are:

1.  They must have a house under contract by April 30, 2011

2.  They must close by the end of June.

3.  They must have been deployed overseas for at least 90 days between December 31, 2008 and May 1, 2010.

Are you a veteran that meets these standards but you are NOT a first time homebuyer?? Not a problem-- as a repeat homebuyer, you can take advantage of the tax credit up to $6500

You do NOT have to buy using a VA loan in order to get this tax credit; the reason for the extension is to give our veterans who may have been overseas and unable to use the credit an opportunity to do so.

Have questions? Comments? Let me know. Do you know someone who qualifies and needs help near me or elsewhere? Let me know-- I'll be happy to help them find an agent and/or lender in their area.  Don't miss this extended opportunity if you qualify!
