Have you ventured out to the new Riverwalk in Rock Hill yet? It's a 2 1/4 mile long trail, along the Catawba River.  Nothing fancy, but a very nice nature walk (on a paved walkway), with pretty views of the river.  My sons even decided to swing on a couple of vines we came across.

The Riverwalk Trail will eventually be a part of Rock Hill's largest project, Riverwalk... a 1,000 acre development that will be in the place of the old Celanese plant on Cherry Road.  Riverwalk will include residential, industrial, retail spaces, as well as about 250 acres of green space.
