It's a rainy day, and I'm having trouble getting up and going. So I started looking for some inspiration, and thought I'd share...

1. Forget about multi-tasking, and focus on one goal at a time.  Need to clean the house? Do just that, one room at a time. Need to work on a project? Turn off the phone, don't return other calls, and just work on that one project.  This one is almost impossible for me, but as I get busy and start to get some things accomplished, I start to add back in small tasks....

2. I seem to be inspired lately by reading quotes and other information about successful people. So read!!  Find those who fascinate you and are inspirational to you, and learn more about them. 

3. List, list, list!!! I LOVE to make lists, and I love even more to cross off items on my lists.  It makes me feel productive, whether it's a huge accomplishment, or just returning a phone call that I've put off.

4. Think about the final result of accomplishing your goals.  How much more relaxed/happy/less stressed will you be when you finish what you have to do today?  Then work towards that (as I do, by listing and marking off of my lists).  :)

I read somewhere that we always want change, but we don't want the transitional part of being an action taker-- we want to be a by-stander but reap the rewards.  Take action! Whether you need to clean your house, get work done, lose weight, or any other goal, you'll never get them accomplished by sitting back and waiting.
