So what's going on this summer? Real estate is still busy, although it could always be busier, but I love what I do and always want more! I love how my job allows me to enjoy the summer with the kids, though. What do you love about summer? The ability to "fly by the seat of my pants" thrills me-- deciding last minute to do something fun that you couldn't do while the kids are in school is fabulous.
If you're new to the area, there are so many great things about York County's location! You are only 3 to 3 1/2 hours (depending on how you drive!) from the South Carolina beaches; only 2 1/2 hours from Charleston and the Isle of Palms area. Boone and Blowing Rock are really only 90 miles away, which can even be a day trip, if you want to go to the mountains for the day! Even Gatlinburg and the Tennessee mountains are about 5 hours away.
More locally, we have amazing YMCA's with indoor and outdoor pools that are available to you if you join. And of course, we have Carowinds, located in Fort Mill, which is a staple for many residents. There are other pools, including Shiland Pool and Racquet Club, that you can join for the summer if you want a local pool to attend.
So how do you enjoy your summer days? Whatever you do, take full advantage of what's available in and around York County. There are many parks and walking trails that are available, including Cherry Park, Ebenezer Park (will have a small entrance fee), Manchester Park, and many more!
Get out and enjoy your summer! If you're considering a move to the area, I would love to tell you more about some of the recreational benefits available to you in the York County area. Email or Facebook me (or call!), and let's talk!
