I had been looking forward to relocating to the Charlotte area for several years. I was living in Colorado, moving to South Carolina in a few months. As an instructor, the time available for me to visit the new location and look for a home was at a premium. I received a recommendation for a Real Estate agent in Rock Hill. My initial contact with Wendy Thomas was via phone. After that, electronic communication was able to bridge the time difference and our schedule limitations. Based on my initial desires, Wendy sent all the available property listings. I was able to refine my housing tastes through my comments. As our visit got closer, Wendy kept abreast of any new properties coming on the market, and those going under contract – essentially no longer available to us.
When my family arrived for our whirlwind tour of the area and weekend of home shopping, I was pleasantly surprised. Wendy proposed a tentative schedule of the homes we had selected, and the organized, time efficient fashion we could see them. On Sunday, the day before our departure, we took a second and third look at some of the homes. Still not ready to put in an offer we bid Wendy adieu. As the evening hours ticked into the morning, we changed our mind. Before we hit the airport, we swung by Wendy’s office to put in a bid. Through the advances in technology, we were able to get a contract on the home.
Back at home, there was much still to be done. Through the trust established in Wendy, and a little extra bureaucracy, we were able to close on our new home in Rock Hill without even leaving Colorado."
